The Grey Lodge Pub is a friendly pub located at 6235 Frankford Avenue (directions)The Grey Lodge Pub - Self Guided Mayfair Pub Tour. The Grey Lodge Pub tries to both a great neighborhood tavern and a destination beer bar. It has had some success with both.

A Great Neighborhood Tavern
In 2006, Esquire Magazine named The Grey Lodge Pub one of "America's Best Bars".

In 2007, Philadelphia Magazine rated their French Fries Best of Philly. The hand cut fries at The Grey Lodge Pub are fresh never frozen. The fries are twice fried in the Belgian tradition.

They have multiple dart boards with free electronic scoring, and lots of other fun things to do.

A Great Beer Bar
Featuring a constantly rotating selection of mostly local microbrews on draft, has become a true destination for craft beer. Beer Advocate ranks them as one of the top 50 beer bars in the USA. Ratebeer.com listed the Grey Lodge as one the best beer bars in the world.

Atmosphere
The first floor, with its large circular bar circa 1950, can be rather lively. The second floor tends to be much quieter, and is family friendly with a small childrens menu and high chairs. There is seating at tables on both floors.

Things to do: Darts, old school video game, Quizzo (on Wednesdays), in house dart shoot (Sundays 3pm), Open Mic Night (Sundays 7pm)

Don't Miss:
  • The Best of Philly fries.
  • The restrooms on the first floor, both of which feature tile mosaics.
